Torque - I don't know of any quite like that!Īnother alternative to consider is the Slate ecosystem. That’s why many leading engineers use the E. The SSL G-Equalizer includes a pre-boost dip and a pre-cut rise, as well as a broader Q for more extreme equalization. J37 Tape Emulation - UAD Ampex, Slate VTM This four-band equalizer, modeled on the SSL G Series EQ292, offers greater gain change than the E-Series EQ, and a slightly different curve. One of my few 'favorites' at the top of my Pro Tools plugin chain. The Slate modules can also get close on parts of this.į6 Dynamic Floating Band EQ - if I understand what it does correctly, this sounds like your next step is a Fabfilter ProQ. TG12345 - I adore this channel strip plug and while I don't think there's anything else like it, there are a few 'vibey' channels that can get me similar places (harmonic distortion, big boosts/cuts, slamming compression). I've moved between two recently, the Townhouse Compressor (on the more vibey/colorful side), and Cytomic The Glue (responds to me a lot like the hardware unit, plus some excellent add'l features). SSL G Master Bus Compressor - This is tricky and depends on what you liked about their SSLG. Ok you're not gonna love this but these are IMHO the next step up in quality/tone
